THE LOVE STORY
Jasmine and Joshua first crossed paths through mutual friends at a rooftop restaurant in Toronto, Ontario. Jasmine was leaving just as Joshua arrived, running late. It was pouring rain, so Joshua kindly drove her to her car a few blocks away. Their story didn’t end there—they kept running into each other at group events, and over time, their connection grew into something more.
THE PROPOSAL
August 11th, 2023
Joshua planned a lovely date on a friday night. They started with drinks and appetizers at Toronto Beach Club, and he suggested a walk to catch the sunset before dinner. “My favourite place in the city for years has been the beach and views in and around RC Harris water treatment plant.”
When they arrived, Joshua pulled out a bouquet of pink roses before they walked down toward the water. As they approached, Jasmine spotted candles and rose petals arranged on the beach. Waiting nearby were her best friend and brother-in-law, ready to capture the moment as Joshua got down on one knee and proposed with her dream ring.
THE DRESS

Jasmine initially thought she wanted a satin ballgown, but when she tried on that style, it didn’t feel like her. After visiting a few stores without finding anything she loved, she went to a boutique near her hometown and found the perfect dress — completely different from what she expected. “I went dress shopping with one of my bridesmaids each time and it was the best decision as they made me feel so confident and beautiful while being honest.”
WEDDING & RECEPTION
May 12th, 2024 at The Pearle Hotel in Burlington
The venue featured a stunning wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a beautiful view of the sunset during the reception. Guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches from both sets of parents, Joshua’s brothers, and Jasmine’s maid of honour. “I am biased, but we had an amazing dinner with the BEST wedding food and a beautiful cake to match. We had signature drinks (spicy margarita - hers, limoncello spritz - his) for our bar. It was romantic and intimate with a fun after party!”
FAVOURITE MOMENTS
“There were so many favourite moments but truly experiencing girlhood, and having my best girl friends around me + my mom, while I was getting glammed by my DREAM makeup artist. It truly was the best morning of, and I wish I could relive it again.”
PREPARATIONS & INSPIRATIONS
Jasmine aimed for a look that was simple, modern, minimal, yet still classy. She found inspiration through Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram, using these platforms to shape her vision and bring the details together beautifully.
HONEYMOON
Jasmine and Joshua traveled to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their honeymoon. Their flight was just six hours after their reception ended, making the experience even more exciting. A few hours later, they landed and spent the day on the beach, soaking up the sun and reliving memories from their wedding night.

Being a bride is such a special and beautiful time. Really soak in every minute of the day. Be present because like everyone says, the day goes by so fast. If you feel a little nervous or anxious throughout the day, remember; feel confident that everyone that is there for your wedding, is there to celebrate the union of you and your partner, so the utmost importance is that YOU have an amazing day.
