Two unrelated souls, each with their own unique paths, discovered each other in the bustling world of their workplace. Nick and Emma were two strangers that started off as co-workers (friends). Their friendship quickly bloomed into something more and Nick has finally asked Emma on a date to a County Fair. Since then, the two found solace in each other – “He truly is my best friend!”

T H E P R O P O S A L

August 21st, 2022

“It was the easiest yes ever!”

The summer of 2022, Emma had known the proposal was coming in the next few months, “but I was not sure exactly when or how!” Nick took her out on date night to downtown Roanoke, Virginia (where they lived at the time). When they arrived, there was a romantic setup outside of the parking garage, something unexpected that surprised Emma. Roses, candles, and champagne – things that made the ambiance even more special.

T H E D R E S S

Minimal and timeless – two words that best describe the style that Emma wanted. During her appointment, she grabbed all of the dresses that fit her style, and when she had put on THE dress, she immediately knew it was the one. Emma’s dress is a custom separate piece: SS402 Bodice paired with SS107 Skirt. Emma, sticking to her minimal and timeless style, had asked to adjust the “off-the-shoulder” feature of the dress to be fully strapless and “it was PERFECTION!”

W E D D I N G & R E C E P T I O N

April 2nd, 2023 at The Gardenia in Valley View, TX

The reception is described as everything that Emma could have dreamed of! It was filled with Aperol Spritzes, wood-fired pizza from a local food truck and ice cream (which is her favourite!). Nick + Emma wanted to ensure a fun night for their guests – a night that everyone can look back on with the happiest memories of dancing. It was a night filled with love and laughter which certainly made the couple’s wish come true.

We wanted each part of the day to be things we truly wanted. No silly traditions just because “that is what everyone does” This day should be fully about the bride and groom and the love they share!
Being surrounded by every person who is important to us. There is absolutely nothing like having 150 of your people smiling, laughing and crying happy tears because of the love you share.

PREPATIONS & INSPIRATIONS

Minimalist, timeless, and simple.

One of Emma’s goals is to be able to look back on her wedding photos years later and be as obsessed with everything as she was in the moment. Only black, white, and gold – no colours at all! Emma worked in the wedding planning industry, she has seen everything over the years which helped her curate her wedding theme. Also with help of browsing on Instagram and Pinterest.
